Moral of the Story...
Five years ago I tackled my first photoshoot. Five years ago I had just gotten my camera and knew little to nothing about photography. I took decent photos and tried to study my craft but self-doubt kept me from being great. Then my best friend and his wife reached out to me to do their engagement shoot in New Orleans. I was excited but super nervous. There were discussions about it and I tried to talk myself out of it yet my best friend reinsured me that I had the talent to do it. So, here we are on a nice day in New Orleans, and we are walking, talking and I’m snapping away. I actually manage to take some good shots, but there was much room for improvement. Back then, I didn’t even know how to edit photos so I sent them in raw form. Now, when I go back and view those photos, I cringe but that day started it all. I took the liberty to re-edit some of those photos after my best friend’s wife sent me a notification she got about the original photos. Five years later I get to try to work my magic and use the tools I’ve learned to make something anew. I always feel that if you go back in the past and don’t find ways that you could on improve then you are not growing. Even now I go back periodically and find areas where I can improve. Never stop growing.
Moral Of The Story: It’s great to have people in your corner that believe in you even when you don’t.
